As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will bridge cutting-edge quantum technology and real-world application, working directly with customers to design, develop, and validate quantum solutions. You’ll play a critical role in accelerating adoption by demonstrating tangible value, shaping product direction, and translating complex problems into executable quantum use cases.
The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Director, this role sits within the global commercial team and works closely with product, applications, and business development functions. You will act as a senior technical partner to customers, leading solution design, proof-of-concept development, and technical engagement, while feeding insights back into OQC’s product and roadmap strategy.
What You'll Be Working On
- Act as a technical lead for external partners, supporting business development and account teams in customer engagements
- Translate customer business challenges into quantum use cases, algorithms, and models aligned to OQC’s hardware
- Design, develop, and deliver proofs of concept to demonstrate the value of quantum computing
- Benchmark quantum solutions against classical baselines and define meaningful evaluation metrics
- Lead technical workshops and contribute to proposals, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with OQC capabilities
- Collaborate with product and applications teams to feed customer insights into product development and roadmap decisions
- Share knowledge, approaches, and innovations across the global solutions architecture team to drive customer success
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience developing quantum algorithms and applications for real-world use cases
- Proficiency in Python and relevant scientific or numerical computing libraries
- Experience communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven ability to work with customers or partners to define requirements and deliver solutions
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and computational thinking skills
- Experience contributing to or publishing scientific research or technical findings
- Advanced academic or industry experience in quantum computing or a closely related field (PhD or equivalent experience)
What Would Set You Apart
- Experience in quantum machine learning, optimisation, or hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Background in distributed or high-performance computing environments
- Experience in commercial software development or customer-facing technical roles
- Familiarity with version control, project management tools, and software development best practices
- Experience working in technical teams across multiple locations

Salary
The base salary range for this position is $[X – Y] USD per year. This range represents the good-faith base salary OQC reasonably expects to pay for this role at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on job-related factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. This range refers to base salary only.
