We are seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to help realise business and technology objectives through solution architecture activities. This role is responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of complex systems. We are looking for people with a strong pedigree in the following areas:
- Integration – Strong pedigree in enterprise businesses (banking highly desirable)
- Security – Oversight of cyber security initiatives and supporting security for the wider technology landscape
- Digital – Large-scale digital transformation initiatives
The Senior Solutions Architect role helps realise business and technology objectives through solution architecture activities. This role is responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of complex systems, with a strong focus on supporting large transformation programmes. You will work closely with business, product, and delivery teams. The role balances strategic intent with hands-on delivery, ensuring architectures are practical, scalable, and support incremental outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Discovery and Analysis – Engage stakeholders to understand business goals, constraints, dependencies, and risks to shape viable solution options.
Solution Design – Build end-to-end designs across the various architecture layers, including key architecture decisions.
Technical Leadership – Provide technical leadership across delivery teams, guiding design decisions and trade-offs throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Governance and Quality – Ensure solutions align to enterprise principles, standards, and governance processes, while remaining fit for purpose and delivery-focused.
Stakeholder Communication – Present designs to executives, the business, and developers, while simplifying complex concepts.
Risk Management – Identify technical risks, constraints, and dependencies early, and work with teams to define appropriate mitigation strategies.

5+ years of architecture experience
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills at all levels
Background in banking is desirable, across retail, commercial, investment banking, cards, payments, and loans. Experience in financial services, fintech, or other highly regulated environments is also welcome
Strong appreciation of risk and security in regulated environments
Solid understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks
Skills Required
