We are seeking a Senior Solutions Architect for a 06 month contract to design and deliver scalable digital and mobile solutions within a major digital transformation initiative.
The Senior Solutions Architect role helps realise business and technology objectives through solution architecture activities. This role is responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of complex systems, with a strong focus on supporting a large digital transformation programme. You will work closely with business, product, and delivery teams to shape solutions across modern digital platforms, including web, APIs, and mobile native applications. The role balances strategic intent with hands on delivery, ensuring architectures are practical, scalable, and support incremental outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Discovery and Analysis - Engage stakeholders to understand business goals, constraints, dependencies, and risks in order to shape viable solution options.
Solution Design - Design end to end solutions across multiple architecture layers, making clear and pragmatic architecture decisions that support delivery at scale.
Digital and Mobile Architecture - Provide architecture guidance for modern digital channels, including mobile native applications on iOS and Android, web platforms, and supporting backend services.
Technical Leadership - Provide technical leadership across delivery teams, guiding design decisions and trade offs throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Governance and Quality - Ensure solutions align to enterprise principles, standards, and governance processes, while remaining fit for purpose and delivery focused.
Stakeholder Communication - Communicate and present solution designs to executives, business stakeholders, engineers, and delivery teams, simplifying complex concepts where required.
Risk Management - Identify technical risks, constraints, and dependencies early, and work with teams to define appropriate mitigation strategies.

5 plus years of architecture experience.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills at all levels.
Background in banking is desirable across retail, commercial, investment banking, cards, payments, and loans.
Experience in financial services, fintech, or other highly regulated environments is also welcome.
Experience working in large corporate or enterprise level organisations.
Strong appreciation of risk and security in regulated environments.
Solid understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks.
