aytm “Ask Your Target Market” is looking to hire a Senior Solution Strategist to join our growing consulting vertical. In this cross-functional role, the Senior Solution Strategist will leverage their strong knowledge of quantitative market research, client business and research needs, and aytm’s product and service offerings to propose solutions and win new deals. In a day-to-day capacity, the Senior Solution Strategist will focus primarily on research consulting: scoping and bidding full and assisted service research opportunities for new and existing accounts. This role sits within aytm’s Client teams, liaising between Customer Success & account teams (client relationship) and Research Services & Engagement teams (research and service execution). This is an individual contributor role.

This role has 3 primary focus areas: (1) Consulting with end clients to understand their research needs and identify how aytm can best meet these needs; (2) Scoping full and assisted service projects – developing the research approach, determining and costing out deliverables, proposal writing; (3) Liaising among clients, account reps, and executional teams when new projects are won and ready to kick off.

The Senior Solution Strategist will bring at least 8 years of market research execution experience and at least 2 years of consulting or proposal writing experience. This is a consulting role requiring a strong depth of experience in online survey research, specifically the management of quantitative market research projects of various sizes and complexity (e.g., multi-country studies, studies with advanced analytics, etc.). Qualified candidates will have: (1) A proven record of leading and executing high impact quantitative market research projects that meet clients’ business needs; (2) A strong understanding of quantitative methodologies, with experience mapping methodologies to specific business problems and research questions; (3) A passion for consulting with clients to develop a deep understanding of their research needs in order to propose winning solutions, and (4) Exceptionally strong communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to understand their research needs – ask questions to help determine the best approach to answering their business questions and propose solutions that will garner buy-in and lead to a successful engagement.
  • Write research proposals, focusing specifically on research approach, methodology, length of interview, deliverables, and sampling plan. Scope project costs and timing, collaborating with Account teams and Research services to propose deals that are winnable and profitable to aytm.
  • Develop deep understanding of client profile and preferences at the account and user levels. Identify opportunities to improve client outcomes by incorporating aytm products and/or programmatic service solutions to achieve client objectives.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Account Management on responses to RFPs and pitches; build sample surveys and coordinate deliverable samples and mockups to bring proposed solutions to life.
  • Maintain strong understanding and awareness of aytm’s product, service, and partnership offerings in order to propose comprehensive solutions that win new business and are mutually beneficial to aytm and our clients.
  • Lead the hand off process when new deals are won; ensure all relevant background information and supporting documents are delivered to research and service execution teams in a timely and complete fashion to ensure project success.

Qualified candidates should have….

  • A passion for consulting with clients to develop a deep understanding of their research needs in order to propose winning solutions
  • A competitive nature and a strong desire to win good business
  • A collaborative nature where working as part of a cross-functional team is just as natural as working independently
  • 8+ years market research execution experience, 5+ years executing quantitative research, preferably on the supplier side though some client side experience can be helpful
  • 3+ years consulting experience (driving research solutions in a hands-on fashion) with enterprise clients
  • Strong understanding of quantitative methodologies, with experience mapping methodologies to specific business problems and research questions
  • Strong knowledge of product research methodologies, brand research methodologies and innovation testing
  • Deep experience conducting research in the CPG sector
  • Hands-on experience using at least two online survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Alchemer, QuestionPro) for both programming and data analysis; experience using aytm a plus
  • Exceptionally strong communication and organization skills
  • A working schedule aligned with primary US Pacific Time business hours

  • Be a back-up for a salesperson or researcher that is busy, on vacation, or otherwise occupied
  • Be responsible for outcomes if the salesperson or client elects not to move forward with the recommendations you provide
