The Senior Solution Engineer will be an integral part of the entire sales cycle helping to achieve technical wins and to drive the adoption of our solutions and products. You will get a chance to be a key member of the Sales organization, responsible for the design and architecture of Acronis platform solutions.
This is a very dynamic role, and you will have the option to evolve and take your career to the next level. The ideal candidate would have worked with cloud & security technologies or vendors, consulted, or conducted solution sales, and be passionate about understanding new technologies in the cloud computing and security space.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Work closely with our sales team as well as other business partners in articulating solutions to our service providers, partners, and end customers.
- Participate in meetings as an Acronis technology expert, conduct demos and pitch Acronis products and technologies throughout the entire sales cycle and beyond.
- Engage with our customers, partners, service providers, and internal account teams to execute and coordinate activities to sell Acronis solutions.
- Analyze prospective partners’ and customers’ business requirements, go to market strategy, security, audit, retention, and other policies associated with protection or transfer of the data.
- Strategic Account Management in collaboration with Acronis Account Managers to influence, develop, and manage sales account strategies
- Facilitate and manage customer evaluations, and proof of concept activities for Acronis’ solutions.
- Perform technical troubleshooting and achieve technical wins during the pre- sales process.
- Position compelling solutions targeted at solving the customer’s business problems, over and above specific technical requirements, and acting as technical advisor to the customer.
- Conduct hands-on demonstrations and knowledge transfer of Acronis’ solutions to customers/channel partners.
- Gather technical requirements, develop cost-effective designs and solutions, and present them in front of our prospects.
- Develop response to RFIs & RFPs
- Analyze prospective partners’ and customers’ business requirements, go to market strategy, security, audit, retention, and other policies associated with protection or transfer of data.
- Identify needs to integrate MSPs RMM platforms with our Acronis Platform. Assist during the technical integration and work closely with cross-functional and regional teams.
- Understand complex customer needs and develop innovative solutions
- Provide customer and market input to Product Management, Engineering, Customer Service, and other pertinent groups within Acronis.
- Coach & mentor new hires and Junior Solution Engineers
WHAT YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
- At least 5 years of experiences in a relevant position
- Relevant experience with data center IT architecture design
- Cloud-based applications such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
- Backup, Disaster Recovery, and Storage solution design experiences
- Security experiences in one or more of the following areas:
- Antivirus / Ransomware Protection
- Patch Management
- Vulnerability Assessment
- EDR/MDR/XDR
- Email Security
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
- Network Security - Strong Project Management skills
- Comfortable to develop & present business continuity solutions
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (Linux or other operating- systems beneficial)
- Experiences with Hyper-V & VMware Virtualization platforms (other platforms beneficial)
- Technical background in databases like MS SQL, MS Exchange and MS SharePoint; additional knowledge of Oracle, and MariaDB useful
- The ability to articulate technical and business value propositions
- Knowledge of technologies and product offerings for cloud-based services/solutions of competitors plus knowledge and experience of customer and sales opportunity management practices
- BS in computer science, electrical engineering, technical consulting or equivalent experience
- Analytical / Interpersonal Skills - Must be a good listener, creative, intuitive, and have the ability to resolve problems in potentially stressful situations
- Passion and commitment
- Experience to establish high-level customer relationships and actively working on the customer/reseller/service provider side with the respective interface
- Ability to articulate and understand Acronis technologies and the benefits that can be applied with applications of Acronis solution
- Being a team player, proactive and dynamic, prepared to engage on social platforms about relevant technical topics
- High level of discipline, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while still maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Must display effective management of time and resources with strong project management skills.
- Must be an articulate, persuasive, and polished oral and written communicator, able to effectively discuss and negotiate around technical issues
- Self-motivated, customer-oriented, resourceful, and enthusiastic, showing an entrepreneurial mindset
- Ability to travel (including international)
- Fluent English (+ another language of applicable)
