Microsoft Industry Solutions Delivery is a global organization hosting over 6,000 strategic sellers, industry and technology architects, elite engineers, thought leaders, and consultants who work together to help our customers realize their full potential through accelerated adoption and productive use of Microsoft technologies. As a Solution Architect within France Area Delivery, you will lead the technical design and delivery of complex Cloud and AI engagements for strategic customers, translating business goals into robust, secure and scalable architectures. Working alongside consultants and delivery leads, you will drive customer trust, technical quality and measurable business outcomes across major French accounts.
Responsibilities
Architecture Design and Deployment
Leads the design and delivery of secure, scalable, and business-focused solutions by anticipating technical and non-technical risks, coordinating the broader Microsoft ecosystem, and engaging appropriate specialists early, including Security practitioners. Drives technical alignment across customer, partner, and Microsoft teams, resolves escalations, and establishes clear plans in complex and ambiguous environments. Works closely with Project Managers and Account Teams to identify, communicate, mitigate, and govern risks throughout the engagement lifecycle.Defines and documents the solution architecture, including key decisions, requirements, constraints, risks, and security considerations. Partners with business sponsors and customer stakeholders to validate requirements, manage ambiguity, and maintain traceability between business objectives and solution components. Leads architecture governance, testing, quality assurance, and deployment readiness activities to ensure solutions meet customer expectations and deliver measurable business value.Collaborates with Account, Bid, and Delivery teams to create a balanced solution approach that aligns customer priorities, business outcomes, technical credibility, innovation, security, and cost. Oversees implementation governance, drives adherence to architectural standards and Secure Future Initiative (SFI) principles, and ensures effective change management when assumptions, requirements, or circumstances evolve.Applies established architectural methodologies, patterns, and reference architectures to accelerate delivery while identifying opportunities to create reusable solutions and intellectual property that can scale across customers and industries.
Practice Development
Creates and improves reusable intellectual property, identifies patterns across business and technology domains, promotes the reuse of proven practices, and contributes to internal and external communities. Leverages automation and AI capabilities to improve solution development and delivery effectiveness.
Thought Leadership
Provides strategic and technical leadership across virtual teams, customer engagements, and internal communities. Shares expertise, mentors others, contributes to industry discussions, and promotes Microsoft solutions and architectural best practices through presentations, engagements, and knowledge sharing.
Trusted Advisor
Builds trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and acts as a strategic advisor on business and technology decisions. Communicates complex concepts in a simple and evidence-based manner, influences solution direction, resolves conflicts, challenges assumptions when needed, and drives consensus to achieve optimal outcomes. Promotes Microsoft solutions by connecting customer business value with Microsoft's capabilities and strategic direction.
Understanding Customer and Partner Technical Environment
Engages business and technical stakeholders to understand evolving customer needs, priorities, risks, and constraints. Incorporates customer feedback, industry trends, security considerations, and architectural frameworks into solution design and execution. Acts as a customer advocate by sharing insights with Microsoft teams to improve products, services, and future customer outcomes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND significant experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security)
OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND significant experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security)
OR equivalent experience.
Significant experience in managing multiple projects or portfolios.
Strong experience leading blended, multidisciplinary teams.

Solution Architecture IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across France is € 79,400.00 - € 135,100.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
