At Synpulse, we believe that technology is a strategic enabler of business transformation. We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect who thrives at the intersection of technology, business, and strategy. You are a strategic thinker and trusted advisor to our clients, but also a pragmatic, hands-on architect with a can-do mentality and deep roots in software engineering.
 
You will be instrumental in shaping and delivering end-to-end solutions that align with business goals and technical vision. You enjoy working in cross-functional teams, guiding engineering squads with strong architectural principles, while also mentoring colleagues and driving technical excellence.
Job requirements

• 8+ years in software engineering or solution architecture roles, with at least 3 years as a lead or senior architect.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering enterprise-grade systems within financial services, banking, wealth, or insurance domains.
• Deep knowledge of Cloud Native architectures (e.g., containerization, Kubernetes, service mesh, serverless) and Cloud Agnostic strategies for multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud deployments.
• Strong expertise in modern technology stacks (e.g., event-driven systems, microservices, APIs, DevSecOps).
• Solid grounding in data engineering and data architecture (e.g., data pipelines, data lakes/warehouses, streaming) and experience integrating AI/ML into production systems.
• Proficiency with architectural modeling tools (e.g., C4Model, PlantUML, Structurizr, or ArchiMate).
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying on-premises and hybrid infrastructure solutions in highly regulated environments.
• Proven ability to architect and deliver fixed-price or outcome-based projects, balancing scope, quality, and timelines.
• Excellent communication skills—able to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and engineering teams.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and complexity, with a pragmatic and delivery-focused mindset.
• Natural team player with strong leadership potential and coaching skills.

Bonus Points

• Strong domain knowledge and hands-on experience in financial services, banking, wealth management, or insurance.
• Experience working directly with clients in a consulting environment, ideally in financial services.
• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Event Storming, or other collaborative design techniques.
• Exposure to platform engineering or the development of reusable internal developer platforms.
• Hands-on experience with modern data and AI tooling (e.g., Spark, dbt, Kafka, MLOps, or LLM / GenAI Agentic Enablement).
• Certification in one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Active contributor to architecture communities, blogs, or open-source initiatives.

Job responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with clients to understand business goals, identify technology opportunities, and define digital transformation strategies.
• Design scalable, secure, and high-performing architectures across Cloud, web, mobile, and backend systems, often in the context of complex enterprise ecosystems.
• Architect modern data platforms and pipelines, and embed AI/ML and GenAI capabilities into end-to-end solutions, treating data and intelligence as first-class architectural concerns.
• Leverage Cloud Native and Cloud Agnostic design principles to create flexible, portable, and resilient architectures that can thrive across multi-cloud environments.
• Use industry-standard modeling approaches like C4Model, ArchiMate, or equivalent to document and communicate system architecture clearly.
• Lead architecture reviews, technical discovery sessions, and proof-of-concepts.
• Act as a hands-on advisor throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and quality expectations.
• Work in agile and multidisciplinary teams to deliver impactful solutions at speed.
• Maintain a strong awareness of emerging technologies and industry trends, especially in financial services and fintech.
• Mentor and inspire engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous learning.

Starting salary for this roles is 4200€ before taxes. Final offer will be adjusted based on the candidate´s actual skills and experience.
