Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.
The Senior Solution Architect – SAP Finance, will be responsible for facilitating the implementation and support of Finance and Corporate applications to enhance the clients’ business functionality and overall performance, while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction.
Accountabilities:
Strategy/Roadmap
- Determines scope, estimates work effort and determines duration of development activities for Finance projects requested from Finance Transformation Office (TMO)
- Staying current: Keeping up with the latest technologies and trends. Have an enterprise perspective, assist with Finance Business Relevant IT Strategy (BRITs), balance between short-term investment vs. long term roadmap and help others to understand broad implications of decision making.
- Perform IT due diligence in evaluating SaaS solutions used by Finance, Treasury, Tax, Internal Audits, etc.
Build/Execution
- Responsible and accountable for the solution architecture in partnership with enterprise architects
- Ensure the implemented solutions are consistent with the approved architecture
- The SAP Finance solution architect is a key member responsible for the architecture, design, development, configuration, implementation, and testing of all areas of SAP Finance application
- Accountable for providing technical leadership within the team, including the design and code review processes
- Engage in projects, working with other platform support engineers, architects, software developers, and subject matter experts in the creation of architecture, process, and governance documentation for the application
Run/Operations
- Work with SaaS solution business leaders to complete annual resiliency plan, assessment and HA/DR test when applicable
- Support on-prem application infrastructure needs including OS and software upgrade, hardware sizing, managing cloud costs, etc.
Qualifications
- 8+ years large program experience leading SAP Finance architecture and design
- 8+ years of experience implementing SAP ECC and S/4 Finance applications and solutions
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge and understanding of SAP FICO application with proficiency in all modules of SAP finance (AP, AR, GL, AA, MM), SAP Concur, SAP Ariba or Fiori applications
- Proven experience in integrating SAP Finance with other non-SAP systems, i.e. SaaS applications
- Proven experience and deep process knowledge in SAP Finance implementations and support
- Familiar with AWS and GCP cloud technology
- Ability to communicate technical information in business terms
- Ability to independently plan deliverables and coordinate with team-members
- Ability to work closely with other departments on projects and problem resolution; actively and effectively participate in technical discussions
- Excellent trouble-shooting skills and the ability to logically think through problem situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to create and present documentation or proposals for projects/tasks
- Technical team leadership experience
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or Related Field or equivalent work experience

Anticipated salary range: $121,600 - $173,700
