ABOUT THE ROLE

FOX Corporation is looking for a Senior Web Engineer for its digital Product Engineering Client Web team. The candidate should have a strong working knowledge of web programming and application development Skills.

At FOX, Web team builds and maintains applications for a variety of digital platforms using a number of technologies for multitude of FOX's consumer facing apps. Web team seeks a talented Web Engineer to join our team in developing, maintaining, optimizing and implementation of new features to our web applications.

A qualified candidate should feel comfortable working with a broad range of web technologies, possess a strong working knowledge of web Frameworks, be proficient in typescript and vuejs, and be able to work with several internal teams. Should possess excellent debugging and problem-solving skills. Should be able to create functional applications that perfectly meet the needs of the product.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designing scalable, maintainable, and performant web applications. This includes choosing the right tech stack, and defining how frontend and backend systems interact.

• Establishing and enforcing best practices through code reviews, linting rules, and documentation.

• Monitoring and improving core Web Vitals, reducing bundle sizes, and optimizing response times.

• Implementing security protocols to protect against common vulnerabilities 

• Breaking down complex business requirements into actionable technical tasks.

• Identifying potential technical debt or bottlenecks early in the development lifecycle to avoid project delays.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• BS/ MS degree in Computer Science, or in a related discipline.

• 3-7 years of experience in working as a web developer.

• Strong problem solving skills, communication and collaboration skills and sense of ownership.

• Solid understanding of modern web frontend frameworks and libraries like, typescript, nuxtjs, vuejs and css etc.

• Familiar with current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance, security and usability.

• Experience working with GIT in a collaborative team setting.

• Writing high quality, well- tested code to build performant and robust products

• Understanding the user experience of our products, and working to delight our users.
