Secusmart, a subsidiary of BlackBerry Limited, is the leading expert in the development and implementation of comprehensive anti-eavesdropping solutions for German government agencies and emergency services as well as governments and public authorities worldwide. With teams in Germany and North America, we secure enterprise information and applications on today’s most popular mobile devices and platforms, protecting both business and personal data.

We foster a flat hierarchy and a friendly, collaborative environment where every team member has the chance to make an impact. If you are passionate about testing, and shaping work processes, we’d love to hear from you!

Your Role

As a Senior Software Tester in our agile scrum teams, you will work alongside developers, ensuring that quality is included by design and only commercial grade software leaves the team. Quality is not only assured through rigorous testing and test automation, but also by constantly optimizing system parameters and testing methods.

Are you the person we’re looking for?
  • Do you have a structured, analytical mindset that helps you break things—only to make them stronger?
  • Creating, maintaining, and executing functional test cases is second nature to you?
  • You thrive on collaboration, knowing that working closely with developers and product teams leads to the best results?
  • Are you curious about using AI and the latest models to design better test cases and test faster?
  • Continuous improvement is your cornerstone?
  • You can’t imagine a team without collaboration, and you know that teamwork leads to success?
What You Bring
  • 5+ years in manual/functional software testing, with a focus on mobile applications.
  • Proven ability to design, write, and maintain functional test cases from requirements.
  • Strong exploratory testing and clear, reproducible defect reporting.
  • A structured, analytical mindset.
  • Curiosity about using AI and leading LLMs to work faster and smarter
  • Good knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and JIRA.
  • Nice to have: test automation experience (Appium, Ruby, OOP), ISTQB certification
What We Offer
  • AI-first tooling – using the leading AI models and coding assistants (e.g. Cursor and top-tier LLMs) in our daily testing and development work, and we give you the tools and freedom to work at the frontier.
  • Hybrid work model – flexibility to work from home and our Düsseldorf office.
  • The opportunity to co-design work processes and shape the future of secure communication.
  • A young and diverse Team.
  • The chance to be part of a company that makes a real impact on global cybersecurity.
  • Our product is rich in features and depth, offering endless opportunities to explore, learn, and master new skills.
  • Flexible working hours to suit your personal productivity rhythm.
  • Fitness reimbursement to support your well-being.
