The Senior Software Test Engineer is responsible for ensuring quality assurance of software solutions for life sciences devices.
This position reports to the Flow Software Leader and is part of the India Development Center Software R&D team located in Bengaluru, and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Write and review Software Verification Plans, and organize, lead, and execute formal verification activities.
- Define test plans, test scenarios, and both manual and automated test scripts for functional and regression testing.
- Actively support the development team in investigating identified issues, including root cause analysis and defining reproducibility steps.
- Own the definition of software test strategy, test plans, test infrastructure, and the planning and execution of both automated and manual test cases.
- Develop automated test cases using technologies such as Reqnroll or TestComplete.
- Work in an iterative product release environment with a strong focus on quality, continuous improvement, and delivery goals.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in commercial software development with hands-on experience in manual and automation testing
- 2+ years of experience using test automation technologies such as Reqnroll or Test Complete
- Ability to comprehend and address functional issues within the entire test system
- Demonstrated analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and collaboration skills for working in a cross-functional team.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Understanding of software development processes in a regulated environment
- Software development experience in the life sciences / medical device domain
- Experience in Agile/Scrum software development methodologies
