What You'll Do

As a Senior Software Test Engineer, you won’t just test software—you’ll shape the way we think about quality. You’ll be a strategic partner from the start, helping your team define success before a single line of code is written.

• Be the quality coach and advocate for best testing practices across the team.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks during early planning stages.
• Lead testing strategy and execution in a highly collaborative Agile environment.
• Break down large, complex stories into smaller, testable pieces with clearly defined acceptance criteria.
• Design, document, and maintain manual test cases for complex scenarios.
• Execute exploratory, session-based, and risk-based tests.
• Help build and manage test environments.
• Stay ahead of the curve by researching new tools, trends, and technologies.
• Provide mentorship to junior testers or team members (if interested).

What You Bring

Required:

• 5+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Associate degree, coding bootcamp, or equivalent education in IT/Computer Science.
• One or more areas of deep specialization, such as:
• Test Automation
• Release Management
• Security/Penetration Testing
• Load & Performance Testing
• API Testing
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, can-do attitude.
• Ability to think holistically about software systems and spot issues before they arise.
• A love for digging in, finding bugs, and ensuring an amazing user experience.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum teams.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Web and mobile application testing
• Test automation tools
• JavaScript, .NET, C#, or Java
• SQL and backend validation
• Performance and stress testing

The salary range for this role is $94,900 - $130,600 per year. Where you fall within the pay range is based on how you demonstrate the attributes and competencies required for the role. We mostly reserve the upper half of our compensation bands for internal growth. In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, performance-based incentives, and opportunities for growth.
