Job Duties and Responsibilities
Technical Development:
- Develop and maintain API automation scripts and frameworks using REST Assured, or Ready API, or similar tools
- Implement micro-automation strategies by creating reusable, modular scripts and combining them into comprehensive workflows
- Ensure alignment with Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles and integrate solutions into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab)
- Collaborate with teams to identify areas for automation and prioritize accordingly to maximize impact
- Monitor and maintain automation performance, addressing technical debt and optimizing test execution
Collaboration:
- Work closely with developers, testers, and product teams to understand requirements and translate them into robust test automation
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and high-quality standards
- Provide clear documentation and training on developed tools and frameworks to support team adoption
Execution and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage for APIs, focusing on edge cases and performance scenarios
- Conduct root cause analysis for defects and work proactively to improve automation robustness
- Contribute to the overall quality assurance strategy by identifying gaps and proposing solutions
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field High-level qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in API test development using REST Assured or similar technologies
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experienced in Agile environments with strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, SDLC tools (JIRA, Confluence, Rally), and Git-based source control
- Proficient in microservices architecture, API development, and documentation using Swagger/Swagger Hub and API Gateways like Apigee
- Hands-on experience with serverless applications and cloud technologies including AWS Lambda, Redis, and SQS
- Skilled in security protocols (OAuth, SAML), risk assessment techniques, and conducting code reviews
- Strong knowledge of architectural patterns including Event Driven Architecture, message-based systems, and caching strategies
- Experience with modern databases such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, and DocumentDB, and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $120,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
