About the Role: Provide necessary software test expertise to Network Management Systems group projects and contribute to Automated Test System development projects.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze software testing needs and contribute to software test plans.
- Execute software test plans, create and maintain software test specifications (test cases) and test coverage reports.
- Conduct software design acceptance testing and regression testing.
- Develop and maintain software/scripts for automated software testing.
- Liaise with other software team members (Network Management and Embedded products).
- Contribute to software product release meetings and release decisions.
- Review software requirement specifications to determine testability.
- Contribute towards improving the Aviat Networks software development process and procedures.
- Apply Aviat Networks software quality assurance practices.
- Provide necessary software testing expertise on other projects, as required.
- Participate in software project development reviews, as required.
- Mentor and guide junior team members on product capabilities and testing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Competencies:
ESSENTIAL
- Software product testing practices and principles.
- Agile software development framework.
- Python scripting language.
- Good skills in diagnosing problems and reporting relevant data.
- Well-developed test analysis and design skills.
- Excellent written documentation skills through the use of Microsoft Office tools.
DESIRABLE
- Javascript language.
- Network management principles and protocols (e.g. SNMP / MIB and Netconf / YANG).
- Networking communications and protocols.
- Software version manager and change control tools (e.g. GIT and Jira).
- Software quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 9000-3 or TL-9000).
