Why you'll love this role as Senior Software Test Engineer at Civica
Join our test automation team and contribute to the successful delivery of test automation across various projects and products. Dive deep into the Civica Selenium Test Automation Framework, leveraging it to craft robust automation scripts tailored for your assigned project.
You'll also play a key role in developing the VIEW Playwright Test Automation Framework, facilitating the smooth migration of existing Selenium scripts to Playwright. Create strong Playwright Automation scripts that meet project needs, and engage in integrating these scripts into our CI/CD pipeline for seamless execution. Take charge of maintaining the existing automation suite, ensuring it operates efficiently. We're committed to driving continuous improvement to boost product quality, whether by reducing time to market or enhancing overall quality. Perform manual functional testing as necessary. You'll be responsible for your allocated test deliverables, conducting thorough analysis during test preparation and execution, which includes documenting results and reporting issues through our established defect management process. Execute database, compatibility, accessibility testing, and more, in accordance with the project plan, while working independently. At Civica, we embrace a global work environment, which may occasionally require you to be available outside of standard business hours.
Requirements
What you will need to be successful in this role
- Proficiency in testing methodologies and familiarity with contemporary testing tools such as Playwright, Python, and C# throughout various testing phases.
- Mentor other team members in the team
- Experience in TDD
- Knowledge of System Testing (Functional Testing) and System Integration Testing
- Regression o User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Database Testing o Compatibility Testing o Accessibility Testing
- Solid experience of designing Automation Testing Frameworks and writing automated tests using Playwright
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming concepts and should be able to apply them in test automation script development.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting/debugging skills.
- Able to write custom logic/algorithm for solving test automation challenges.
- Able to use the existing methods and tools post adequate trainings with minimum guidance from seniors by following standard guidelines defined on usage of tools.
- Demonstrate initiative in developing solutions to problems encountered during testing.
- Track record of delivering commitments on time and quality
