Job Purpose:
The Senior Software Technical Leader is responsible for providing strong technical leadership in the design, development, and delivery of low‑level (LLD), External device driver (EDD), and ECU/IO hardware abstraction software for safety‑critical automotive ECUs. This role operates at the hardware–software interface, driving robust and high‑quality implementations of automotive SW. The position works closely with global hardware, systems, BSW, validation, and application software teams to clarify requirements, influence technical decisions, and ensure timely delivery aligned with customer and project commitments. The role combines hands‑on technical contribution with mentoring and guidance of engineers, ensuring reusable, scalable, reliable, and production‑ready embedded software solutions for next‑generation automotive projects and platforms.
Key Responsibility:
· Lead and mentor a team developing low‑level software for automotive power electronics projects including inverter and converter electronic controller ECUs with a strong focus on reuse and scalability.
· Own architecture, design, and development of LLD, CDD, and ECU/IO HW Abstraction layers interfacing with automotive microcontrollers.
· Lead ECU software bring‑up (startup routines, board bring‑up, compiler, build file set up, compiler) on new hardware.
· Collaborate with systems, hardware, validation, manufacturing, test and global teams to clarify requirements, SW development, ensure seamless integration and issue resolution.
· Provide hands‑on technical leadership in design, coding, reviews, debugging, and root‑cause analysis
· Ensure compliance with AUTOSAR, MISRA‑C, ASPICE, ASIL and quality standards.
· Support HIL/component/bench testing and deliver high‑quality software under tight timelines.
· Promote a collaborative and inclusive global environment through active participation in technical and code reviews.
· Own and ensure clear traceability across requirements, design, implementation, and validation.
· Coach and mentor team members to elevate engineering excellence and collective delivery performance.
What we are looking for:
Strong expertise on AUTOSAR architecture, MCAL Configuration & implementation of Low-Level driver software for software components (GTM, MCU, DIO, ADC, Port, SPI, CAN, CCU6, SMU, Freq In, Freq Out, PWM I/O, FEE, FLS), ECU Abstraction.
Strong expertise in developing ASIC device driver software for external semiconductor ICs, mainly power supply ICs / motor driver ICs/ gate driver ICs (Infineon, ST, Texas etc.)
Strong expertise in applying AI/ML through prompt engineering to enhance software product development, including automation, process improvement, code optimization, effective debugging,

Expertise in fault diagnostics, retry logic for external ICs.
Knowledge on Multicore, Nonvolatile memory, watchdog, make and linker files.
Must have software development experience in SPI, SENT, CAN, UDS, LIN protocols and Instrumentation development using XCP, XETK, UDS.
Strong ability to comprehend microcontroller hardware and associated schematics.
Expertise in cross compilers and debuggers like Lauterbach.
Solid Hands-on experience in Vector DaVinci toolchain or EB Tresos.
· Strong expertise in Programming (C/C++) and debugging for embedded multithreaded and multi core/CPU software environment.
Good expertise in Design tools such as MATLAB/EA, unit testing tools such as TPT/CANTATA/VectorCAST/RTRT, Serial Comm testing tools such as CANoe/CANalyzer/NeoVI Fire.
Expertise in Functional Safety (FuSa) with strong experience in ASIL compliance projects in accordance with ISO 26262.
Knowledge on Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) and ECU virtualization will be added advantage.
Exposure to Agile methodology/CMM/SPICE/ISO 26262 /TS 16949
