As a Senior Software Technical Consultant, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients in the supply chain and transportation & logistics disciplines. You will leverage your deep technical expertise to design, implement, and optimize software solutions, ensuring that they address complex business needs. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing project timelines, working cross-functionally with both technical and business teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Work closely with clients to understand their business needs, technical requirements, and goals. Translate those requirements into clear, actionable technical solutions architecture working closely with extended project teams and product development.

Lead the technical design and implementation of supply chain optimization software solutions for clients in the supply chain, transportation, and logistics discipline. Utilize industry best practices and cutting-edge technologies to create scalable, efficient systems.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior consultants and other team members. Ensure high-quality standards and technical excellence in all deliverables.

Oversee and manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources. Coordinate with stakeholders, both internal and client-side, to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification. Use project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) to track progress and manage risks.

Bring deep domain expertise in supply chain management, transportation, and logistics to provide insights into best practices and process improvements. Identify opportunities to optimize workflows, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.

Regularly communicate project progress, issues, and updates to senior management and clients. Act as the primary point of contact for technical questions and project escalations.

Oversee testing phases to ensure that all software implementations meet functional and technical requirements. Collaborate with QA teams to validate system functionality, identify defects, and drive resolution.

Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software development, supply chain management, and logistics. Share knowledge and insights with clients and internal team members to drive continuous improvement.

Why you belong at 4flow

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master, etc.) are a plus.

5+ years of experience in a technical consulting or software engineering role, with a focus on supply chain, transportation, and logistics software solutions.

Strong hands-on experience with software system architectural design, implementation, and integration in a client-facing role with a strong passion for technology.

Proven track record of successfully managing technical workstreams for software projects from inception to completion, including timeline management, resource allocation, and risk management.

Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, etc.), methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall), and software lifecycle management framework.

High proficiency in written and spoken English is required. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Proficiency with enterprise software platforms (e.g., ERP and Supply Chain and/or Transportation and Logistics applications)

Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and SaaS implementations.

Strong understanding of data integration, APIs, and system architecture in a supply chain context.

Familiarity with databases, SQL, data governance, monitoring tools, and business intelligence tools

Experience with front-end and back-end coding languages: Python, Java, C+, similar enterprise solution languages

Deep understanding of supply chain management principles, transportation logistics, inventory control, demand and supply planning and distribution networks.

Familiarity with industry trends such as digital transformation, IoT, AI/ML applications in logistics, and sustainability in supply chain operations.

Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to manage and motivate cross-functional teams.

Efficient Problem-solving and analytical mindset, with a passion for delivering high-quality solutions demonstrating flexibility and resiliency.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with advanced technologies like machine learning, AI, and predictive analytics in the context of supply chain and logistics.

Knowledge of specific logistics systems such as TMS (Transportation Management Systems), Supply Chain Planning Systems (Kinaxis, Logility, SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, or similar), ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.

Solid experience in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively with strong understanding of budget, scope, and timeline management.
