What you’ll do:
- Assist the development of Archer’s high fidelity aircraft simulators supporting validation and verification activities, handling quality evaluations, human factor evaluations and test pilot training.
- Work with internal groups and suppliers to integrate, instrument and maintain configuration of aircraft simulation models in the real-time simulation environment.
- Maintain and improve the existing simulation framework that integrates the desktop simulation into a real-time environment.
- Build software bridges between real-time simulation instrumentation and desktop simulation analysis tools.
- Design and build graphical user interfaces to control the real-time simulation environment.
- Write drivers to integrate novel hardware using non-standard communication protocols.
- Assist in the execution of test plans and test automation.
What you need:
- 6+ years of experience in a related field.
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to architect large scale software following good design practices.
- Proficiency in C/C++.
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and Python.
- Mastery of build systems (cmake or similar) and good understanding of standard software development tools:
- Continuous integration - TeamCity / Jenkins / Artifactory
- Version control - SVN / Git / Bitbucket
- Issue tracking - Jira / Zendesk / MantisBT
- Experience prototyping Graphical User Interfaces.
- Deep understanding of communication standards and protocols (RS-422/485, CAN, ARINC-429, AFDX, Ethernet, TCP/IP, USB etc…)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Bonus qualifications
- Experience developing real-time software for a Hardware-in-the-Loop aircraft simulator.
- Experience with model based development using Matlab/Simulink.
- Familiarity with fault injection methodologies
- Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and protocol analyzers.
- Experience with Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR) or multi-projector technologies.
- Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies and tools.
- Experience supporting FHA evaluations.
- Familiarity with or a passion for aviation.

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $134,400.00 - $168,000.00. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
