The Drive OS Automotive Software team is looking for a highly motivated and visionary Senior Software Safety Manager to build and bring NVIDIA's autonomous vehicle platform out to the world. This platform features multiple mixed criticality vehicle domains on a single computing platform running high-integrity virtualization and communication software at its core. You will participate in a focused effort to productize ground-breaking solutions that will redefine the world of transportation and the growing field of self-driving cars. You will work with hardworking and dedicated multi-functional engineering development teams across various vehicle subsystems to integrate their work into our DRIVE OS platform, while achieving or exceeding all relevant NVIDIA and automotive standards and guidelines. What You’ll Be Doing:

As a technical leader, plan and drive safety activities to deliver safe and robust software

Work alongside engineers and architects specializing in system software, virtualization, trusted OS, graphics, compute, and safety/security to develop system-level solutions.

Partner with multi-functional teams to meet customer needs, resolve challenges, conduct detailed reviews, and build robust safety cases

Coordinate safety analyses (e.g., SW-FMEA, SW-CPA, SW-DFA), improving safety processes to meet high integrity demands while improving efficiency.

Adapt safety processes and work products to support reuse across various industry domains, creating sustainable and future-proof solutions.

Embrace state-of-the art software development methods and tools to ensure the highest levels of software integrity
What We Need to See:

Master’s degree or equivalent experience
-
10+ years of proven experience, with at least 5 years in safety-critical embedded systems developed under standards like ISO 26262, IEC 61508, DO-178C, or ASPICE

Strong ability to convey sophisticated ideas clearly and optimally to diverse audiences

Highly organized and adaptable, able to thrive in a dynamic environment across different geographies
Ways to Stand Out from the crowd:

Experience in Automotive AI/Autonomous Systems software

Skills in formal verification of software programs

Knowledge of LLMs for safety case development

Diverse experience across multiple safety-critical domains
The base salary range is 180,000 USD - 339,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
