THE OPPORTUNITY
- Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases.
- Review and analyse system requirements for completeness, accuracy, and testability.
- Document and maintain comprehensive test cases, results, and test plans.
- Write, maintain, and optimize automated test scripts.
- Collaborate closely with development and product teams to ensure quality at every stage.
- Work both independently and in team-based environments.
- Identify opportunities to improve and streamline testing processes.
- Interpret technical and business requirements to define test strategies.
- Conduct and document risk analyses.
- Evaluate user interfaces for consistency, usability, and functionality.
- Research and assess new tools, technologies, and testing approaches.
- Drive innovation in testing methodologies to enhance product quality.
THE SKILL SET
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Quality Engineer
- Basic knowledge of Programming (Java, JavaScript, Oracle)
- Strong expertise in manual exploratory testing for both UI and API.
- Ability to document and maintain exploratory test specifications.
- Critical thinking skills to challenge and refine product requirements.
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing acceptance criteria.
- Solid understanding of Agile practices, especially SCRUM.
- Clear, concise, and professional written and spoken English communication skills.
- Ability to analyse and debug failed automated tests (UI and API).
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools and scripting including: Selenium (C#), Groovy and Playwright
