Job Description

• Ensures the planning of quality activities and maintenance throughout the entire lifecycle of software projects, also system related
• Analyzes software product development requirements and ensures monitoring and traceability from requirements-architecture-design to code and testing
• Checks the consistency of component-level software requirements, reference status, and correspondence with system requirements, through random selected reviews on work products.
• Tracking that SW metrics are available and in accordance with specific standards and internal rules for software product development (MISRA rules)
• Ensures the assessment and correction of errors, alerts, and complexity indicators from the preliminary code analysis, without executing it
• Supports the preparation of 8D and LL reports
• Support and ensures with project teams the testing strategy, steps, and their adaptation
• Review test cases and their outcomes to ensure correspondence with requirements
• Utilizes specific software development tools to ensure adherence to processes and suggests continuous improvement
• Ensures compliance with specific standards like ASPICE and participates in internal and external audits conducted within the technical department
• Responsible for monitoring quality indicators within the technical department and presenting them to the management team
• Independently reports on the quality status within the technical department and conducts maturity assessments
• Escalates potential quality issues from the technical department within the VM-EPS quality organization
• Provides support to employees within the technical department for continuous improvement, adopting a quality-focused mindset
• Defines and monitors quality measures alongside the management team within the technical department
• Has the authority to request updates for any documents, software products, or 8D reports within the technical department
• Has the authority to request the initiation of an 8D or LLL (Lean Lessons Learned) report
• Supports project communication towards customer, for Quality related tasks
• Supports the onboarding for new colleagues, for Quality related area
• Ensure fulfillment of the QA plan
• Monitoring and supporting/ tracking for closure of quality related items, defined at project level

• Safety standard ISO26262, security standard ISO21434, ASPICE
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word)

Qualifications

• University degree in computer science, automation, electronics and telecommunications, informatics, mathematics or comparable
• Experience with embedded software development and C programming language
• Experience in ASPICE, Safety Standard ISO26262, security standard ISO21434
• Communication skills on all hierarchical levels
• Familiarity with tools for software project management and software version management
• Efficient use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Efficient use of JIRA
• Understanding UML representations and logical schematics
• Initiative and creativity, persuasion and assertiveness
• Analytical and quality-focused thinking
• Self-motivated and responsible way of working
• Enjoy working in an international team
• The power to make and enforce quality decisions
• Advanced English; German or other language skills are an advantage
