The Role

The Senior Software Implementation Consultant is a customer-facing role responsible for leading Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) software implementations and projects from contract handoff through go-live and stabilization. This role blends strong project management discipline, hands-on solution consulting, and software technical skills, ensuring customers adopt the platform successfully, on time, and with measurable business value.

As a senior individual contributor, you will primarily serve as the owner of implementation projects, leading the full project lifecycle including planning, execution, risk management, stakeholder communication, and solution configuration, while acting as a trusted advisor to customers. For larger or more complex implementations, you may partner within a broader project team, owning critical workstreams or areas of delivery. You will contribute to strategic discussions and continuous improvement initiatives, partnering closely with leadership to enhance delivery quality and customer outcomes.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and dependencies
  • Manage scope, risks, assumptions, and change requests
  • Lead internal and external status meetings and provide clear, proactive communication
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (Sales, Product, Development, Support, and Customer Success)
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to customer goals

Implementation & Solution Consulting

  • Partner with customers to understand business requirements, workflows, and success criteria
  • Translate customer needs into system configuration and implementation plans
  • Configure the platform, guide data migration, and validate integrations (as applicable)
  • Lead solution walkthroughs, testing cycles, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Deliver customer training sessions and adoption support
  • Act as a subject-matter expert on the product during implementation

Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary customer point of contact during implementation
  • Build strong relationships with customer project sponsors and day-to-day contacts
  • Set expectations clearly and manage escalations professionally
  • Ensure a smooth handoff to Customer Success or Support post-implementation

Continuous Improvement & Mentorship

  • Identify implementation risks, patterns, and improvement opportunities
  • Contribute to implementation playbooks, templates, and best practices
  • Provide feedback to Product and Engineering based on customer experience
  • Contribute to onboarding and development of newer team members
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to other team members
  • Share best practices, tools, and lessons learned to elevate team performance
  • Participate in strategic discussions, offering informed input based on implementation experience and customer needs

Minimum Skills and Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years of experience in project management, implementation consulting, or technical services
  • Experience implementing complex SaaS or enterprise software solutions
  • Strong project management skills (planning, risk management, stakeholder communication)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage executive-level stakeholders and navigate complex organizations
  • Experience mentoring or coaching peers in a professional environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to balance structure with flexibility in fast-moving environments

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in EHS, compliance, enterprise SaaS, or regulated industries
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery models
