Job Description
What you’ll do
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 18–20 engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Drive the design, architecture, and delivery of cloud-based SaaS products, ensuring operational excellence and security.
Conduct regular design and architecture reviews, contributing hands-on expertise and strategic direction.
Champion the adoption of AI and data-driven practices, embedding GenAI and automation into daily operations and product offerings.
Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver innovative solutions that address evolving customer needs and support Guidewire’s mission.
Manage project priorities, resource allocation, and team performance to achieve measurable outcomes.
Support the launch of new product categories and international expansion initiatives.

What you’ll bring
Required
15+ years of Software Development Experience especially in SaaS and/or PaaS
Minimum 5 years of experience managing engineering teams, preferably in SaaS or cloud-based product organizations.
Proven track record of leading teams of 15+ engineers, with strong people management and mentoring skills.
Strong programming experience in Java, Go, Python or any high level languages
Proficiency in public cloud technologies (AWS preferably), Containerization, Kubernetes, CI/CD systems, and DevOps practices
Solid understanding of system design principles, distributed systems and architecture
Strong ability to drive strategic initiatives and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.
Preferred
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience with AI/ML tools and integrating AI into product development.
Background in insurance technology or enterprise SaaS platforms.
