About this role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead the engineering efforts for cybersecurity reporting and analytics within a large, complex financial institution. This role sits at the intersection of cybersecurity, software engineering, and data analytics, and is critical to enabling real-time, high-quality insights that support security operations, compliance, and executive decision-making.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead a team of software and data engineers in building secure, scalable, and performant platforms for cybersecurity analytics and reporting.
  • Partner with Cybersecurity, Threat Intelligence, Risk, Compliance, and Enterprise Technology teams to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Design and oversee the development of data pipelines, data models, dashboards, and API integrations to deliver real-time and batch analytics use cases.
  • Drive engineering excellence by adopting best practices in coding, testing, DevSecOps, and agile delivery.
  • Ensure solutions meet stringent security, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead modernization of legacy reporting systems by adopting cloud-native, open-source, and AI-driven technologies.
  • Manage team performance, career development, hiring, and mentoring to build a high-performing, diverse engineering team.
  • Own end-to-end delivery and support of critical analytics platforms used by Cybersecurity leadership, auditors, regulators, and senior executives.
  • Monitor system health, reliability, and metrics to ensure continuous improvement and incident readiness.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in software engineering
  • 3+ years in a leadership or management experience
  • Experience working with data and engineering teams to optimize reports, dashboards and ETL processes.
  • Hands on knowledge of reporting and analytical tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, SAS, Python, Alteryx etc., as well as JIRA, Github and MS-PowerApps,
  • Hands on experience leveraging Python, SQL, SAS, Cron, and other analytic enablement tools
  • Strong book-of-work management and organizational skills.
  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience leading risk projects to deliver complex data driven risk management solutions
  • Hands-on ability to manipulate data and tools to prototype and present solutions
  • Confident and self-motivated producer of original ideas and solutions, with sound judgment for when to escalate issues
  • Strong written and verbal communicator with excellent presentation skills
  • Strong experience building and managing distributed data systems, APIs, and cloud-native applications (GCP, AWS, or Azure preferred).
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity data sources (e.g., SIEM, endpoint logs, vulnerability scanners, threat intel feeds) and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, NIST, FFIEC).
  • Proficiency with modern data tools and frameworks (e.g., Python, Spark, Kafka, SQL, Looker, Tableau).
  • Experience in regulated environments such as financial services or healthcare is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders and senior leadership.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with AI/ML applications in cybersecurity analytics
  • Familiarity with tools like Splunk, BigQuery, and graph databases
  • Background in agile program management and cross-functional leadership
  • Knowledge of machine learning concepts is a plus

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
