Responsibilities:- Serve as the senior technical leader and software architect for the FFT (Freudenberg Filtration Technologies) digital platform on Azure, with end-to-end responsibility for the design, development, and delivery of all core business applications incl. stable, secure and scalable services
- Lead the technical vision, architecture, and hands-on development of innovative, scalable, and secure software solutions, collaborating closely with digital product owners and business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives and functional requirements into robust technical solutions
- Drive the full software development lifecycle, ensuring best practices in software engineering, code quality, delivery with professional project management. Lead an external high-performing development team ensuring alignment with business goals, technical excellence, information and IT security and timely delivery
- Identify opportunities for innovation, especially in data-driven applications, AI (Artificial Intelligence), and advanced analytics, to maximize business value.Provide 3rd level support and ensure UpToDate documentation (example certificate management, data chain of sensors, gateways and cloud, complex incident resolution, and technical escalations)
- Own the software architecture and technical roadmap and innovation funnel for the FFT digital platform, ensuring modern, maintainable, and extensible solutions. Lead software engineering projects on scope, quality, time and budget and setting standards for code quality, design patterns, and good practices
- Oversee the design, implementation, and support of the applications, with a strong focus on software engineering rather than infrastructure. Management and supervision of external developers – maybe in future internal
- Provide 3rd level support for the platform and applications, handling advanced technical issues and collaborating with business stakeholders and developers for resolution
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Informatics, or a related field
- Several years of experience in IT architecture design with Azure DevOps, Services and digital product development
- Strong background in modern software engineering practices (CI or CD - Continuous Integration or Continuous Delivery or Deployment, DevOps for software, automated testing, code reviews, security). Experience in identifying and leveraging data-driven opportunities for business growth
- Advanced knowledge of data management, IoT, data-driven application development, AI, and machine learning integration Experience in IoT scenarios including sensors and gateways
- Experience leading external development partners and managing outsourced software projects. Proven track record of leading complex software development projects
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and secure software solutions. Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, Analytical thinking, Structured working style, Fluent in English, additional language skills appreciated
