Your Role and ResponsibilitiesIn this role, we are looking for a Software Engineer – React & .NET to join our Industrial Automation Digital Organization. You will contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise-grade web applications that power ABB's industrial automation and digital platforms.
Working as part of a collaborative Agile engineering team, you will develop scalable front-end and back-end applications using React, .NET/C#, ASP.NET Core, and modern cloud technologies while partnering with Product Management, Solution Architects, DevOps, and Quality Engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performance software solutions.
This role is contributing to the Process Automation – Digital Industry Analytics / Research & Development organization in Bangalore, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications using React, .NET/C#, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, and modern software engineering practices, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-quality software delivery.
- Build responsive user interfaces, develop backend services, implement microservices, integrate databases and cloud services, and optimize application performance across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, DevOps, and Quality Engineering teams within Agile/Scrum environments to deliver features, automate testing, implement CI/CD pipelines, and continuously improve software quality.
- Drive engineering excellence by leveraging Generative AI (GenAI) and AI-assisted development tools, maintaining coding standards, troubleshooting production issues, and contributing to continuous innovation and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience in software development using React, .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, and modern full-stack application development practices.
- Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML5, CSS3, Redux, SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MongoDB, Git, and software testing methodologies.
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure or AWS, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native application development is preferred.
- Familiarity with Generative AI (GenAI) tools, AI-assisted software development workflows, and modern engineering productivity practices is considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of Industrial Automation technologies such as SCADA, OPC UA, MQTT, MES, or Industrial IoT platforms is preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in Agile teams and continuously learn emerging technologies.

Skills Required
