At NiCE, we don’t limit our challenges. We challenge our limits. Always. We’re ambitious. We’re game changers. And we play to win. We set the highest standards and execute beyond them. And if you’re like us, we can offer you the ultimate career opportunity that will light a fire within you.

So, what’s the role all about?

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Data Repositories team, part of the Actimize NXT Gen PaaS/SaaS engineering group. In this role, you will design and build core backend services and data infrastructure powering Actimize’s cloud native financial crime solutions.

Our next generation platform is being built from the ground up on AWS and will serve developers, data engineers, and data scientists at the world’s leading financial institutions. This is a unique opportunity to shape foundational platform components, influence architecture, and work with cutting-edge cloud and data technologies at scale.

How will you make an impact?

  • Lead, design, and implement backend/datacentric components for a cloud native platform on AWS.
  • Own end-to-end delivery: from requirements and architecture to coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Build robust, scalable, and observable services used across the Actimize NXT Gen ecosystem.
  • Be a technical authority within the team: guide design discussions, perform code reviews, mentor developers.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems, data stores, and microservice architectures.
  • Drive innovation: evaluate new AWS services, frameworks, and data technologies; introduce improvements proactively.
  • Collaborate in an Agile environment with product managers, architects, DevOps, and cross functional engineering teams.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and enterprise grade quality across components you own.

Have you got what it takes?

  • BSc/BA in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 6+ years of experience with Java or similar JVM/OOP languages.
  • Strong experience with AWS services (e.g., DynamoDB, EKS, IAM, S3, Lambda).
  • Solid understanding of system architecture, design patterns, and building complex distributed systems.
  • Handson experience with relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, etc.).
  • Practical experience building and maintaining production cloud services.

You will have an advantage if you also have:

  • Familiarity with data streaming or big data technologies such as Kafka, Flink, or Spark.
  • Experience building microservices using Spring Boot, Docker/containers, and Kubernetes.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Terraform, Helm).
  • Background in SaaS product development.
  • Comfort using AI-based tools to speed up development and testing (such as GitHub co-pilot, Claude,).
