Role Overview
Hands-on Senior Quality Engineer responsible for functional testing, API/UI automation, regression validation, and release readiness for Genix i360 / Analytics & Visualization Runtime. The role will focus on dashboards, analytics workflows, visualization runtime, data validation, platform compatibility, and automation stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate i360 dashboards, widgets, charts, trends, filters, drilldowns, navigation, and configuration workflows.
- Perform end-to-end testing across UI, APIs, data sources, and Genix Platform services.
- Create and maintain UI automation using Playwright / Selenium / Cypress.
- Build and maintain API automation using PyTest / Postman / REST Assured.
- Integrate automated tests into Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Maintain test cases, execution evidence, defects, and traceability in Azure DevOps Test Plans.
- Validate data consistency between UI, API, and backend sources such as ADX / SQL / APIs.
- Support release regression, patch validation, sanity testing, and compatibility certification.
- Log defects with clear steps, screenshots, logs, API responses, severity, and impact.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, Architects, and Release Managers for issue triage and closure.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Hands-on experience in test automation framework development and maintenance.
- Good programming skills in Python / TypeScript / JavaScript / Java.
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, authentication, assertions, and service validation.
- Working knowledge of Azure DevOps Boards, Test Plans, Pipelines, and dashboards.
- Ability to analyze browser console logs, network traces, API failures, and application logs.
- Strong debugging, defect analysis, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Genix Platform / Industrial IoT / analytics / visualization products.
- Experience testing dashboards, KPI cards, trend charts, time-series data, and industrial analytics workflows.
- Exposure to ADX, SQL, cloud environments, and data validation.
- Understanding of release governance, automation reporting, and QE sign-off process.
- Domain exposure in manufacturing, process automation, energy, asset performance, or operations monitoring.
