Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative engineering team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be contributing to rapidly improve critical data ecosystems. You will be involved in delivering innovative solutions to sophisticated and modern engineering problems. As part of the team, you will learn, grow, and help bring data closer to our users. You will make critical choices, tackle hard problems and improve the platform’s reliability, resiliency, and scalability. The ideal candidate is someone who is excited about working in a team, can own and deliver long-term projects to completion. You are detail and quality oriented, and excited about the prospects of having a big impact with data at Autodesk.
Responsibilities
Design, architect, and implement robust tools, frameworks, and services to instrument, collect, and process product data at scale.
Lead technical discussions and collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver innovative and maintainable solutions.
Apply your knowledge of various technologies and choose the best fit to meet business requirements
Understand and contribute to making the product data ecosystem better
Own end-to-end development, including design, implementation, automated testing, documentation, and deployment.
Develop and maintain cross-platform applications and components that run seamlessly on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Build reusable components and libraries
Ensure the performance, quality, speed and scalability of the application
Help our users adopt and integrate our components
Minimum Qualifications
5–12 years of professional experience in software engineering, with strong functional or object-oriented programming skills.
Proven expertise in desktop application and component development, including libraries, multi-threaded applications, and platform-specific optimizations.
Solid proficiency in C/C++, C#, Java, Python with at least 3-8 years working on desktop and component development
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and automated deployment workflows
Proficiency with distributed version control systems (preferably Git) and modern development workflows.
Experience with at least one of the testing frameworks – GTest, Java TestNG, etc

Outstanding communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills
Highly organized and can write clear and reader-friendly documentation
Ability to work with minimal supervision and commit to agreed business goals
Familiar with non-functional testing such as load, performance and resiliency testing
Good command of English (Speaking, Writing and Reading)
Degree in computer science or related field
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with virtualization software (VMware, VirtualBox, etc.) and AWS cloud services
Experience working with Big Data technologies, especially in the context of product or telemetry data.
Understanding of data architecture fundamentals, data modeling, and distributed data processing.
Strong skills in writing and optimizing SQL queries for analytics or data processing.
