The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices and applications that power our telematics platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and a range of modern technologies.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain robust Java/Spring Boot microservices.
- Work with Grails-based services and integrate with MySQL, MongoDB, and other data stores.
- Implement messaging and event-driven architectures using RabbitMQ and Kafka.
- Develop and optimize RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers using React.js, HTML5, and AJAX.
- Ensure high availability and scalability using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitHub/GitLab.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
- Proficiency with MySQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB preferred).
- Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, and Elastic Search.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with frontend technologies: React.js, HTML5, AJAX.
- Strong understanding of version control (GitHub/GitLab) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
