The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer on our Web Team, you'll be at the forefront of building our next-generation archival and search platform. You'll work on challenging problems around web content capture, large-scale data processing, and creating intuitive interfaces for complex compliance workflows.

What You'll Do:
- Build Full-Stack Features: Develop end-to-end features using React, Remix, and Node.js, from database to UI
- Scale Our Platform: Design systems that handle billions of archived items with sub-second search capabilities
- Master Web Capture: Create sophisticated web scraping solutions that preserve dynamic content, including complex SPAs
- Optimise Cloud Infrastructure: Leverage AWS services (Lambda, ECS, Aurora) to build cost-effective, scalable solutions
- Champion Best Practices: Implement Infrastructure as Code, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and ensure code quality
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with Product, Design, and Customer Success to deliver customer value
About You
Essential:
- 4+ years of commercial experience in full-stack JavaScript development
- Strong proficiency with React and Node.js ecosystems
- Production experience with AWS services (particularly Lambda, RDS/Aurora, S3)
- Understanding of PostgreSQL/MySQL at scale
- Track record of delivering complex features from concept to production
Desirable:
- Experience with Remix framework
- Experience with web scraping, browser automation, or content extraction
- Knowledge of Python or Go
- Experience with Parquet or Analysing data in Object storage
- Terraform/Infrastructure as Code experience
- Background in compliance, archival, or data-intensive applications
- Experience with message queuing systems (SQS/SNS)
