This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we’ve announced the plan for SoftBank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. This Position reports to:

In this role, you will have the opportunity develop and enhance complete and sizable software modules in the assigned software engineering function in one or more of platform and application management. Each day, you will execute assigned design and development activities focused on building solutions in an efficient and cost-effective manner and in accordance with quality standards. You will also showcase your expertise by providing curate project schedule estimates and ensures their successful completion within the deadline.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Performing a variety of software engineering tasks in the assigned area of software development, software quality engineering, software testing, DevOps, cybersecurity, software release, support, and maintenance, and/or release management, with limited supervision.
• Contributing (independently) to the software development lifecycle that includes requirements, conceptualization, prototyping, design, coding, testing, release, and subsequent maintenance and operations.
• Owning and driving highly structured and maintainable code and deliverables with right amount of documentation.
• Identifying and categorizing different user personas for the platform and applications independently, with the aim of tailoring and defining the user experience, user interface, navigation, and workflows to suit their respective roles.

Qualifications for the Role

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fullstack development, focusing on Node.js, React.js and Typescript.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP). Azure preferred.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure Devops), and code versioning tools (Git).
• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Proven ability to solve complex problems and make and communicate informed technical decisions.
