You will be responsible for building core catalog and settlement systems for hundreds of thousands of merchants which directly impact the selection for millions of customers who order on the Coupang Eats platform. You need to closely partner with business stakeholders and deliver growth in a fast-paced environment.
· Serve as a key engineer who makes decisions on the system design
· Develop sustainable services to grow by designing scalable architectures and systems
· Build this ecosystem with exciting tech stacks such as Cloud Native (AWS), MSA, Spring boot, JPA, Elastic stack, Docker, Kafka, Redis, MySQL, Cassandra etc
· Obsesses over data consistency and availability to guarantee great merchant experience
· Taking responsibility of code review/design review, and raise up the bar of engineering excellence
· Collaborate and communicate seamlessly with team members and stakeholders
We are a truly global team located at Seoul, Shanghai/Beijing, and Bangalore
· Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or related fields
· 6+ years of coding experience in Java or other object-oriented programming languages
· 3+ years of solid work with distributed systems, DB schema design, and data processing
· Experience design and building large scale services, and operating experiences
· Proactive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
· Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
