The research development and innovation group operates between NICE’s cutting edge research team and NICE’s cloud and enterprise development teams. Some, but not all our responsibilities include:
- Prototyping new technology to evaluate viability in our products.
- Productize the latest innovations from research for consumption by R&D teams throughout NICE.
- Expand our collection of AI models to support new technology and languages.
- Build tools to support researcher experiments or help the wider organization to use and customize our core language technologies.
- Curate data for training new AI models.
For this position, we are looking for someone to join our team that focuses on tooling, data management and prototypes. This team serves internal stakeholders both in research and other product areas at NICE. This position is targeted to those who want to grow in our organization. You will have direct access to our company’s best developers and researchers.
The ideal candidate will need to have a deep passion for learning. This position will expose you to a great variety of technologies and projects. When working on data projects, expect to work in SQL and AWS from a Windows environment. Newer prototyping and tools are built via modern web technologies that are then either deployed to the web or as cross platform desktop applications. Other tools we support are built with C#, C++ and Python so expect ample exposure to technology.
Required Skills and Experience:
- BS in Computer Science or related degree or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Self-starter with creative problem-solving abilities.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including designing, building, and maintaining solutions in C#
- 2+ years of experience with relational databases or NoSQL solutions such as Elasticsearch.
- 5+ years of experience with modern web development (Typescript)
What we’d also love to see:
- Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms
- Experience with shell scripting or general task automation solutions
- Exposure to Docker
- Experience working with large language models and machine learning technologies
