We are organized into three specialized teams, each tackling unique and exciting challenges. You'll have the opportunity to work across teams and find where your interests and skills shine:
Foundation & Internal Tooling
Build the tools that power operational excellence across the entire organization. This team develops internal automation systems, creates productivity tools for engineering and business operations, and pioneers the integration of cutting-edge AI solutions into our workflows. You'll work on systems that streamline processes for multiple departments, from engineering and operations to compliance and finance. If you're excited about making everyone's work easier, driving efficiency at scale, and exploring emerging technologies like AI-powered automation, this is your team.
Strategic & Business Development
Drive innovation and growth by creating new products that shape the future of payments in Greece. This team identifies market opportunities, designs and launches new payment solutions, and builds features that directly enable merchants and marketplaces to grow their businesses. You'll work on greenfield projects, experiment with new payment methods, and see your code directly impact business success.
Regulatory & Compliance
Solve complex technical challenges at the intersection of technology and finance. This team translates regulatory requirements into elegant technical solutions, ensuring our platform meets the highest standards of security and compliance. You'll become an expert in payment regulations, work on mission-critical systems, and build features that protect millions of transactions. It's technical problem-solving with real-world impact and accountability.

What you will be doing:

• Design & Build:
  Architect, develop, and deliver high-performance services across our payment platform, powering thousands of merchants and millions of transactions.
• Lead with Expertise:
  Own complex technical domains, set engineering best practices, and guide the team through high-quality code reviews, mentorship, and architectural direction.
• Master Payments Engineering:
  Work deeply with card schemes like Visa and MasterCard, internal payment flows, and external integrations, becoming a technical expert in complex transaction systems.
• End-to-End Ownership:
  Take features from concept to production, shaping architecture, ensuring quality, driving performance, and monitoring live systems.
• Collaborate Broadly:
  Partner with Product, SRE, Compliance, AML, and Operations to deliver reliable, compliant, and scalable solutions across the entire payment lifecycle.
• Modern Engineering Practices:
  Work in a fully cloud-based environment with CI/CD automation, infrastructure-as-code, robust observability, and a strong DevOps culture.
• Platform Reliability & Quality:
  Contribute to the stability, security, and scalability of our core platform. You’ll tackle challenges involving distributed systems, resilience, APIs, and data flows.
• Innovation & Problem Solving:
  Research, prototype, and implement new capabilities that enhance our platform and support the growth of merchants, marketplaces, and partners.

Our Stack:

• PHP / MariaDB / MongoDB / NodeJS
• Cloud: AWS (ECR, EKS, SNS, SQS, Lambda)
• Tools: Docker, Kubernetes, modern CI/CD pipelines
  

What will you need to succeed:

Must-Haves:

• 3+ years of experience in developing systems in a product company
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Excellent problem-solving and learning ability
• Testing mindset and an eye for clean code
• Experience in designing REST APIs
• Experience with task planning and effort estimation
• Understanding of security principles and how they apply to backend systems
• Military obligations must be fulfilled (if applicable)
• A finance and payments background is a plus but not a must-have
• Familiarity with the specifics of our tech stack is not an issue; our team will coach you – we want you to succeed!
• Be creative, open-minded and commercially driven
• You thrive in team-based environments and can co-operate with stakeholders from all departments and levels of the organisation
• Have high levels of user empathy, and care for improving customer experience
• Take pride in being an Engineer and apply your skills in a multitude of problems spanning across multiple verticals
• Enjoy both learning and sharing with your team

• Experience with PHP or similar backend languages
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
