What will I be doing:
In this role, you will join our development team working with our US Federal clients to create and improve the products behind the company’s rapid growth. Our software engineers work across a wide variety of projects and with a diverse toolset. We are seeking software engineers of varying levels (from Junior to Senior). Day to day life will include:
- Contributing to rapid prototyping of new and innovative ideas to further improve Darktrace Federal’s services and offerings
- Supporting deployment of code written into secure cloud offerings and physical deployments
- Liaising between the development team, federal team, and technical support escalations when issues arise
What experience do I need:
In this role, Darktrace is looking for a bright, tenacious, and articulate software engineer to work in an exciting, fast-moving environment at the cutting edge of cyber security technology. We welcome applications from engineers who have a solution focused mindset that can combine this with an analytical approach to problem-solving.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship. Due to federal security requirements, the role may require obtaining and maintaining a U.S. government security clearance, which may require U.S. citizenship.
- Comfortable working autonomously and taking independent decisions as well as having the ability to work cooperatively within a team
- Experience running systems in a cloud environment facing end-user or programmatic traffic
- Knowledge of the mechanisms of networking in physical and cloud environments
- Experience using Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform (desirable)
- Comfortable using and troubleshooting linux based machines (desirable)
- Ability to write and modify shell scripts (desirable)
- An understanding of general networking and cyber security technologies (desirable)
- Willingness to report to the Arlington, VA office for final interview.
- Salary range $100,000 - $170, 000 depending on experience and title.
