Our Instrumentation development department is responsible for the design and development of instrumentation (pre-analytics, analyzers, post analyzers and lab automations solutions) for the future Core Laboratory.
We are looking for self-motivated developers to join our exceptional engineering teams that are building solutions for our Coagulation instrumentation. You will be part of an ongoing transformation in the healthcare industry, working in one of the future product teams in Roche, responsible for creating an intuitive core platform that has a great impact on users.
As a Software Engineer you will give in the design, implementation and testing of software components for a coagulation In-Vitro diagnosis instrument following Roche R&D Instrumentation Development standards and procedures.
The Opportunity
Participating in all phases of software development from feasibility studies through design, development, testing and bug fixing including software maintenance.
Participating in defining work packages, their estimation, planning, and implementation within the software development team based on software requirements and following the project’s software architecture and other guidelines..
Providing all necessary documentation according to the software development process.
Reviewing and analyze your source code as well as on request the source code of your peers in the software development team, ensure the defined software architecture is completely and consistently implemented into the assigned software units or subsystems design and code.
Supporting and mentor software engineers in all questions concerning the software architecture of the assigned software units or subsystems.
Permanently optimize processes to increase quality and efficiency standards.
Who you are
The following list is what we are looking for. We understand you may not be fully proficient in all of them:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar from the software sector and around 6-8 years of work experience in hands-on software development
Proven track record in the following technologies: Microsoft .NET Framework, C#, .Net Core, PL/SQL, XAML, Automated Testing framework and Specflow, Oracle database and Entity Framework, Azure DevOps and GIT, Good knowledge of design patterns., Working experience in Object Oriented Analysis and Design using UML, writing formal specifications and requirements.
Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture standard methodologies.
Experience in working in agile SW development (SCRUM or SAFE).
High level of written and spoken English and Spanish.
You are organized, hard-working, and a great teammate. You enjoy solving real problems, making a difference, and learning from challenges.
Will be also welcome
Experience with product delivery in regulated industries with good understanding of compliance topics such as information security and design control is a strong plus.
Prior experience in developing and delivering software for Medical Devices is a strong plus.
