Senior Software Engineer
Location: Kuala Lumpur
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join our IT team. The successful candidate will primarily configure and enhance highly configurable systems, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Configure and develop applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs.
- Integrate and manage databases using SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Implement containerization using Docker.
- Collaborate closely with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to deploy solutions via Jenkins and manage deployments on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Participate actively in Agile methodologies, including Scrum processes.
- Follow Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate/JPA.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
- Experience in configuring highly configurable software systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with Jenkins for Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
- Strong experience in containerisation tools, preferably Docker.
- Knowledge of relational databases and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
