About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Core Backend Team, focusing on the Demand Side Platform/Supply Side Platform. This role is backend-heavy, with minimal front-end responsibilities, and involves building and maintaining distributed systems at scale.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions and ensure the reliability and stability of our platform.
What you will be doing
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Go
- Build and optimize distributed systems to support high-volume, low-latency transactions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including full-stack engineers (ad rendering and performance), SDK, DevOps, and Product teams.
- Ensure reliability and stability through well-defined SLIs and SLOs.
- Participate in architectural discussions and influence long-term technical direction.
- Engage in Agile ceremonies: 2-week sprints, daily standups, grooming, retrospectives, and reviews.
- Monitor and maintain system health using Grafana and Prometheus.
- Contribute to the migration from Redis to Valkey and optimize database usage (DynamoDB, SQL).
- Work within the AWS ecosystem to ensure scalable and secure deployments.
- Tech Stack: Go, Python, Kubernetes, AWS, Kafka, DynamoDB, SQL, Redis, Grafana, Prometheus & Sloth
About you
- 3–5 years of software engineering experience, with a strong backend focus.
- Hands-on experience with Go or willingness to become proficient.
- Knowledge of distributed systems and best practices for reliability and scalability.
- Familiarity with SLI/SLO concepts and performance monitoring, memory and cpu profiling, caching.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across engineering, DevOps, and product teams.
- AdTech experience is a plus, but not required (we’ll help you ramp up)
