Job Title

What does a successful Senior Software Engineer do at Fiserv?
You will manage end-to-end life cycle and develop solutions for Fiserv’s state-of-the-art enterprise dispute processing systems using Java full stack technologies. You will drive the organization forward with innovative design, ideas that improve our existing code and mentor a group of developers.

What you will do:

• Manage software development process from conception to deployment based on user requirements
• Maintain and upgrade software applications following deployment
• Oversee and guide offshore resources: analyze, write, build, and software deployment
• Produce efficient and elegant code based on requirements
• Test and deploy programs and applications
• Troubleshoot, debug, maintain and improve existing software
• Develop technical documentation to guide future software development projects

What you will need to have:

• 6+ years of experience with SDLC in enterprise application development using Java Full Stack technologies: Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring framework, JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5, XML, XSLT, JSON, third-party libraries such as jQuery, and lightweight framework Vue.js
• 5+ years of experience with database technologies, including DB2 and Oracle
• 5+ years of experience with WebSphere Liberty / WebSphere Application Servers, Apache Web servers, Linux and PAAS product Docker Containers
• 3+ years of experience with AWS Cloud Platform and its ecosystem
• 3+ years of experience with Fortify, Web-Inspect and Sonatype source scanning
• 2+ years of experience with Rules Engine or rules-based application services
• 2+ years of experience in finance, banking, payments services and card processing
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience

What would be great to have:

• 1+ year of experience with SonarQube and Object-Relational Mapping frameworks
• 1+ year of experience with C# / C++ and Python
• 1+ year of experience with document barcoding techniques
• 1+ year of experience in software development for document/imaging processing or using 3rd party software like Accusoft and Kofax Ascent Capture
• 1+ year of experience with transmissions technology like Sterling’s (now IBM) Connect:Direct
