The Role
FloQast is looking for a motivated Senior Software Engineer that will play a key leadership role in shipping high impact features across new product lines. This individual will help identify product and engineering opportunities that will delight our customers and build solutions that exceed their quality expectations. The right candidate should have a track record of building, testing, deploying, and soliciting feedback from stakeholders in a pre product-market fit or fast paced startup environment. You will work closely with your team, sales, and our customers to define, prioritize, and build new features.

What You’ll Do:
- Work with management to guide and move a team of 5 or more engineers through key product and technical milestone deliverables..
- Help the team know which results to produce by creating clarity in what needs to happen for our customers, and prioritize what order things should happen in.
- Work on high leverage activities to unblock team members, such as keeping tech debt low, improving the team's speed of innovation, or raising the quality bar
- Build high quality, user focused experiences from the ground up with React, NodeJS, and MongoDB
- Leverage Amazon Web Services (AWS) such as S3, Lambda, and Step Functions to get features to market quickly and efficiently
- Help lead our technical vision. Participate or lead discussions and implementation on multiple complex projects
- Continuously act on our customers’ product feedback, data, and growth needs to epitomize an agile environment by always working on the most important things
- Continuously improve our engineering process, tools, and systems to increase the team's ability to do more with less
- Fully own or pair on vertically sliced features through the full SDLC including code review, deployments, and production support of our applications and external API
What You’ll Bring:
- 7+ years of professional full stack experience at 1 or more referenceable companies doing web app development, RESTful API design, or data modeling in SQL, or NoSQL systems.
- Ability to lead architecture decisions and define best practices for scalable, maintainable codebases
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React, NodeJS, or MongoDB (or other similar technologies). Being able to think and develop in their patterns and practices. The more the better.
- Good understanding of unit, integration, or end-to-end testing practices using Vitest, Jest, RTL, Playwright, or Cypress. Familiar, or support the practice of baking testing into the process as you go and using code coverage to identify weak points
- Track record of shipping high-quality products and features to customers, and developing projects at scale
- Ability to quickly turn business and product ideas into engineering solutions
- Motivated by taking a product to market, solving customer problems, and mastering your craft through the growth of the business
Nice to Haves:
- Building AI-first features with LLM’s
- Developing with AI using Cursor, Windsurf, etc
- Have taken a product from 0 to 1
- B2B SaaS experience
- Future interest in management or staff opps

This job posting is for our Software Engineer II level, the base pay range for this position is $144,000 - $216,000. Compensation is not limited to base salary. FloQast values our Total Rewards, and offers a competitive and elaborate Benefits Package including, but not limited to, Medical, Dental, Vision, Family Forming benefits, Life & Disability Insurance, Unlimited Vacation, and participation in our Employee Stock Program. FloQast reserves the right to amend, change, alter, and revise pay ranges and benefits offerings at any time.
