Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a Senior Software Engineer - Frontend at DigiCert, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining the frontend of our web applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable web applications that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
What you will do
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to create user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces that enhance the overall user experience.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications, ensuring they meet high-quality standards and performance benchmarks.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, in accordance with coding standards and best practices.
- Conduct code reviews to increase code quality, consistency, and alignment with the product design and architecture.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug product defects and provide timely solutions to customer issues.
- Stay up to date on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve software development processes and tools.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and help drive technical innovation within the team.
What you will have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of professional experience in a software development role, specifically in developing web UI applications.
- Proficient in core JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Proficient in React, Redux, and their associated libraries and frameworks.
- Experience consuming web service APIs and developing Single-Page Applications using React.
- Skilled in Node.js, Node libraries, and familiar with NPM, Webpack, and Rollup build tools.
- Experience in containerization with Docker and expertise in container orchestration utilizing Kubernetes.
- Experience with software development methodologies, such as Agile.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and address complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Previous experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices in software design and front-end architecture.
- Experience building cloud-native applications, services-based architecture, DevOps principles, and continuous deployment.
- Application of secure coding practices and methodologies.
- A passion for unit testing (e.g., Jest, Mocha) and consistently delivering high-quality code.
Nice to have
- Proficient in Docker for containerized development.
- Experienced with CSS frameworks and preprocessors like Sass, Less, Material UI, and Bootstrap.
- Skilled in using design tools such as Figma.
- Experienced in building server-side applications with GraphQL.
