About this role:

The Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) group provides technology solutions and support for Risk, Audit, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Corporate Properties, and Stakeholder Relations business lines. In addition, EFT provides unique technology solutions and innovation for Wells Fargo Technology, Enterprise Shared Services, and Enterprise Data Management. This combined portfolio of applications and tools are continually engineered to meet the challenges of stability, security, scalability, and speed.

Risk and Internal Auditing Technology (RIAT) provides technology support and development for Risk, Audit, Financial Crimes, Front Office and Second Line Risk, Employee Compliance, Regulator Regulations, Market Surveillance, and Regulator Change Management.

The Data Control Framework (DCF), provides a centralized data technology solutions to support the information needs of the multiple solutions within RIAT and EFT Tech.  This framework is continually engineered to provide Data Controls, Data Lineage, Metadata Management and Data Quality Issue Management to the application community in RIAT and EFT.  We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer working with the DCF Development team. 

In this role, you will:

  • Work with an agile engineering team supporting technology solutions development across multiple product or capability domains.

  • Mentor and guide the partner applications teams in understanding the Data Quality issues discovered by the Data Control Framework.

  • Collaborate with partner application teams in root cause analysis of the data quality issues discovered by the Framework.

  • Ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met.

  • Develop engineering best practices, guidelines, standards, and accelerators.

  • Document and present design to Sr. leaders.

  • Working with the development team for project planning, requirement analysis, implementation, and co-ordinate testing activity.

  • Work closely with our business partners to analyze and resolve all issues and inquiries.

  • Work with both onshore and offshore resources consisting of full-time developers, contractors, and consultants.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 4+ years of experience with large data and analytic environments.

  • 4+ years of experience in software development projects.

  • 2+ years of work experiences in an agile technical environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience working with Relationship Database Management Systems

  • 5+ years of experience with large data and analytic environments.

  • In depth knowledge of developing Java, Spring Boot and Angular applications.

  • Strong data skills with Relational Database, SQL and JPA.

  • Hands on experiences with application containerization like OCP, public cloud like Azure and GCP.

  • Practical knowledges with Kafka messaging framework with Java.

  • Good experiences with REST APIs.

  • In depth knowledge of developing Java, Spring Boot and Angular applications.

  • Strong data skills with Relational Database, SQL and JPA.

  • Hands on experiences with application containerization like OCP, public cloud like Azure and GCP.

  • Practical knowledges with Kafka messaging framework with Java.

  • Experiences with REST APIs.

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology.

  • (RDBMS) such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL. Big Data or Hadoop tools is a plus. 

  • Experiences with Shell scripts, Python, or other scripting tools is a plus.

  • Understanding Data Warehouse/Data Mart and ETL processing.

  • Financial industrial experience is a plus.

  • Good problem solving and technical troubleshooting capabilities.

  • Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations.

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule - ability to work in office

Salary: $92,400 - $128,400 - $164,400

Req #R-401068 has been unfrozen and cancelled and this position is replacing that req but is downgraded to a Sr. Software Engineer

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$92,400.00 - $164,400.00
