About This RoleAs a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at OutSystems R&D, you’ll join the team responsible for building and evolving the foundational cloud-native infrastructure that powers OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC), our next-generation application platform. ODC is a fully managed, Kubernetes-based, multi-tenant platform designed for scalability, resilience, and developer productivity. In this role, you’ll work at the core of our cloud platform—designing, automating, and operating the infrastructure that supports thousands of applications running in production across the globe. What You Will Lead/Do or Key Responsibilities
- A variety of OutSystems products are aimed to be hosted on OutSystems Cloud Platform and your responsibility is to ensure high availability, resiliency and efficiency of the hosting platform.
- OutSystems is expanding in global markets via various product offerings. Our team provides the hosting platform for these products, requiring you to contribute to infrastructure that is engineered for global scale.
- Support the development of tools and infrastructure to deploy, monitor and manage production and non-production services.
- Ensure delivered solutions are optimized for ease of use, reusability and scalability.
- Ensure implementations and development activities always lead towards enriching knowledge base documentation, design details, usage, maintenance, configuration and deployment notes.
- Be comfortable working with agile frameworks, such as scrum or kanban.
- Be available for a 24x7 shift rotation on an as-needed basis — after a suitable onboarding and ramp-up period.
Qualifications / What You Need To Succeed
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or similar.
- Professional experience in software development or operations (around 2–5 years).
- Hands-on experience as a Kubernetes Administrator in a production environment.
- Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS or Azure or hybrid Cloud Environments) is a plus.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and DevOps practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines or SRE environments.
- Understanding of best practices in code-based configuration, load-balancing, auto-scaling, monitoring, alerting, and networking in a cloud environment.
- Proficient in any programming language and willing to learn new ones — especially Golang.
- Ability to understand and debug distributed or asynchronous systems is a plus.
- Hands-on mindset and willingness to learn, troubleshoot, and solve problems as they arise.
- Comfortable collaborating with team-mates working from around the globe.
