Senior Software Engineer

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who can help build, design, and support applications related to ACH payment technologies.  This person will be part of an agile team within Commercial, Corporate, and Investment Banking Technology.  This Senior Software Engineer should be an expert in mainframe, with experience in COBOL.

In this role, you will:

• Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
• Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
• Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
• Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
• Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 4+ years of experience in mainframe
• 4+ years of experience in COBOL
• 4+ years of experience in JCL
• 4+ years of experience with databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL server, or Teradata

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in ACH
• Experience with payments technology
• Experience with IBM Rational Programming Patterns

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

Salary is just one component of Wells Fargo's total rewards package. Depending on the role, a Wells Fargo's employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

$84,000.00 - $164,400.00
