Senior React Developer - UK - Fully Remote

The Role

As a Senior React Developer, you’ll take a lead role in designing and building modern, performant web interfaces. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to bring new features and enhancements to life. Your experience and leadership will also help guide junior developers and shape best practices in our frontend codebase.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain high-quality, scalable React applications using modern tools (React 18+, TypeScript, WebStorm, Rider etc.)
• Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, Product Owners, and backend developers
• Drive architecture and design discussions for frontend components and application state
• Optimize applications for speed and scalability
• Implement and advocate for UI/UX best practices and accessibility
• Mentoring Junior level React developers
• Participate and eventually lead paired programming sessions
• Stay current with the latest in frontend development trends and technologies
• Identify performance bottlenecks and propose solutions
• Work in an agile development environment, contributing to planning and continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience developing web applications, with at least 3+ years utilizing React
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Deep understanding of React: lifecycle, hooks, and state management
• Strong history of working with React and libraries like Material-UI (MUI), React Query/TanStack Query, and React Hook Form (preferred)
• Experience with testing frameworks like Vitest and Playwright
• Proficiency with GitHub for source-control 
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

• Experience working in a CI/CD environment
• Experience and knowledge with TDD
• Knowledge working with ASP.Net Core Minimal API, XUnit and Entity Framework Core
• Responsive UI design 
• Familiarity with cloud hosted containerized microservice architecture (Docker, Kubernetes, Observability tools) 
• Experience of designing and implementing security best practices in web development
