The Role:
At Podium, we’re looking for talented software engineers who want to make a significant impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As an engineer at Podium, you’ll have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that directly influence the success of our products and the businesses we serve.
As part of our engineering team, you'll collaborate with professionals across departments, including Engineering, Sales, and Customer Support, to innovate and solve real-world problems for small businesses. You’ll build scalable, high-performance systems, develop new features, and leverage emerging technologies like AI and machine learning to continuously improve our platform.

What you will be doing:
- Build and maintain high-quality, scalable backend services and APIs.
- Develop user-facing features using modern front-end technologies.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and deliver impactful features.
- Continuously learn and grow, experimenting with emerging technologies like AI and machine learning.
- Contribute to the overall architecture and technical strategy of the platform.
- Work in an Agile environment, helping to iterate and refine products quickly.
What you should have:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on backend development.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Elixir, Ruby, or Go.
- Experience in front-end development with modern web technologies like React, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), APIs, and web infrastructure.
- Exposure to AI/ML technologies or OpenAI platforms is a plus.
- Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and best practices for coding and software development.
What we hope you have:
- 5+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer in an Agile, hyper-growth SaaS environment.
- A passion for learning, problem-solving, and mentoring.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, ask critical questions, and adapt to changing business priorities.
- Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and coding best practices.
- Experience with web infrastructure and distributed systems.
