Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Key member of the Dish Tech. development team at Bangalore.
- Self-motivated, versatile and enthusiastic to take on new problems across multiple technical domains.
- Take active part & contribute in all stages of product development from design, development , review and testing.
- Modify existing Dish offerings to add new functionality, adapt to new hardware, improve performance or enhance product usability.
- Able to work with minimal guidance and collaborate with members of the team and other stakeholders.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Minimum qualifications:
- B.E. or M.E (equivalent) in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering
- 3 to 6 years of experience in the field of consumer electronics/embedded systems.
- Proficiency in Android development with expertise in Java(preferred)/kotlin language, preferably on Android TVs/10ft clients.
- Good understanding of Agile software development tools; project and issue management , source code management (Git/Gitlab/Github).
- Understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines.
Preferred qualifications:
- Performance analysis and optimization experience.
- Good knowledge of Android AOSP build system, Android SDK and Android ecosystem.
- Multimedia/Streaming frameworks like ExoPlayer.
- Experience with scripting (Python, shell, Perl).
