Role Summary:

Senior Software Engineer - Store Systems provides support for retail store applications, hardware and peripherals in our Saks stores. Develop new features and infrastructure in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements.

The Senior analyst will be required to respond to, resolve and document issues as they come in a timely manner. You will be required to triage problems and escalate as needed to the development teams and work closely to come to resolution.

The support analyst will require excellent problem solving skills, be able to understand IT system solution architecture and be able adapt quickly to new and different problems day to day

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience in web applications area with knowledge of .Net, SQL, Powershell and Oracle DB.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3-6 years of experience in computer science / Information Technology and supporting and developing large scale distributed Web / windows applications
  • Experience in supporting the large scale distributed Web / windows applications.
  • Retail experience with a knowledge of Web based application troubleshooting, Strong command of Windows O/S, batch scripting, and SQL
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in building large-scale software applications
  • 3+ years Strong experience in asp.net and SQL
  • Angular, Node JS ,HTML and CSS good to have.
  • Excellent debugging and optimization skills
  • Ability to work as a team and individually for troubleshooting / investigating critical problems and leading meetings.
  • Ability to coordinate with the development team for issue resolution
  • Must have experience in Retail / Store System and production support L2/L3. Ready to work in shifts (First general and seconds)
  • Good communication skills.
  • Knowledge in AWS,C#, Pathfinder/Nagios/AZURE/RTS/SolarWinds will be added an Advantage You strive for excellence and lead with a business focus mindset

Role Description

  • Collaborate with the development teams to architect state of the art solutions that your teams will deploy and support 
  • The role involves active interaction with business partners, stakeholders, architects and engineers across the globe.
  • Contribute and work hands on in all spheres of a project right from conceptualization, requirement gathering, fit gap analysis, design, and development to production implementation and support
  • Recommend engineering best practices, including use of design patterns, code reviews and automated unit testing.
  • Create strategies to be adopted for projects, migrations and various activities
  • Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving and further leveraging these systems.
  • Enhance and develop monitoring tools to put our team in a position to be proactive for all issues
  • Maintain vendor relationships and collaborate to enhance existing applications Drive integration, release management and packaging of Systems products. Requires on-call support and mediation during off-hours for Level 3 support. Work with your team on creating technical support documentation used to manage and maintain the software
  • Responsible for problem management and analysis to drive resolution to high volume recurring incidents to reduce overall incident volume
  • Resolve end user inquiries in a timely manner and collaborate with Saks technology
