Senior Software Engineer - C++
Join our high-performing team in the Image Guided Therapy Devices (IGT-D) Software R&D group in Philips Haifa. Here, you’ll help develop innovative features for our portfolio of imaging applications in the cardiovascular domain. Your work will streamline clinical workflows and make a real difference in patients' lives.
Your role:
- Utilize your C++ expertise to develop new high quality medical imaging SW features
- Work closely with Product Owner, Software Architects and Software Testers to translate software requirements to medical imaging application features and ensure the software fits within the larger software system & platform architecture.
- Perform development testing (for example, unit testing) to verify that your implementation successfully satisfies user requirements and functions correctly.
- Creating and/or maintaining relevant Software Design Description (SDD) documents to capture the software design at the right level of detail.
You're the right fit if:
- A bachelor’s /B.Sc. or higher degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of software development experience using C++, experience with development tools like Visual Studio and modern CI/CD such as Azure DevOps, Git etc.
- Ability to communicate in spoken and written English.
- Experience in any of the following will provide an advantage:
- SW development in healthcare,
- Medical Image processing and/or development of Computer Vision and/or AI/Deep learning algorithms for medical imaging.
- Experience building complex multithreaded software.
- DevOps and/or CI/CD tools like CMake, Jenkins, Git actions, etc. and code scanning tools like SonarQube, Coverity etc.
- Application frameworks such Qt, WPF and .NET
- Matlab and OpenCV libraries
- GPU Parallel programming (e.g. CUDA)
- Agile software development environments like Scrum, Kanban and regulatory standards like IEC 62304, 82304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
